A weekly evening of Aruban music, dance, and food
The Bon Bini Festival, its name meaning welcome in Papiamento, is a long-running weekly showcase of Aruban culture held in the courtyard of historic Fort Zoutman in the heart of Oranjestad. It is a relaxed, family-friendly evening designed to introduce visitors and locals alike to the island's music, dance, food, and crafts.
The programme features folkloric dance groups, live bands playing traditional Aruban rhythms, and demonstrations of island culture, set inside the walls of the oldest building in Aruba. Stalls around the courtyard sell local snacks, drinks, and handmade crafts and souvenirs, and the small admission fee supports the cultural programme.
Because it runs weekly, it is one of the easiest cultural experiences to fit into a trip. The fort sits in central Oranjestad near Wilhelmina Park and the Oranjestad streetcar route, so pair it with a stroll through the colourful capital before the show.
