How we make Aruba 365
Aruba 365 is an independently published guide, edited by a small, named team and held to one standard across the Isla365 network: researched from primary sources, checked against them, dated, and re-checked. Here is who works on it and how.
Who writes Aruba
The byline Aruba 365 Editorial is not a local newsroom. It is the two people below, who edit every guide on this site and set the standard the whole Isla365 network follows.
Alex Borshch
Founder & Editor
Founder and editor of the Isla365 network. Spent six months living in the Dominican Republic over the 2013-14 winter, and has since wintered in Thailand, Vietnam and Turkey. Writes and edits the guides across the network.

Roving Editor
Rarely home for long: always mid-trip or planning the next one. Keeps the published guides current.
Our editorial principles
Researched, not recycled
Every guide is built from official and primary sources, then checked again as things change. No copied press releases, and no describing a place as if we had stood there when we have only read about it.
Independent by default
Recommendations are never for sale. Any sponsored or affiliate content is always clearly labelled and never disguised as editorial.
Accurate and current
We re-check and date our coverage. When we learn that a place has closed or a price has changed, the page changes with it. That is the 365 in the name.
Respectful of place
We cover communities, environments, and cultures with care, favouring travel that gives back more than it takes.
Source-based guides, with human editorial oversight
Official sources first
Opening hours, prices, entry rules, safety and transport come from government pages, tourism boards, airports, transport operators and the venues themselves.
AI-assisted research and drafting
AI models help organise the source research and produce first drafts. Alex Borshch reviews and edits the guides and decides what is published. Fabricated bylines, testimonials and claims of first-hand experience are not permitted.
Desk research, said plainly
Unless a page explicitly describes a first-hand visit, it is based on desk research rather than an on-site review. We leave out the adjectives the sources cannot support.
Checks against sources
On pages that show a check date, AI-based reviews have compared the factual claims with source pages. Each problem a review raises must come with a quote from the source, and software confirms that the quote appears on the page it cites. A second AI review re-checks the finding before the text is changed. These checks support the editorial review. They do not establish that every statement is correct or that conditions have not changed.
Dated and re-checked
A page that has been through the check shows the date under its main text. Prices, timetables and entry rules go out of date, so the check is run again rather than left as a one-off, and details may have changed since the date shown.
Corrections welcome
Spotted something out of date or wrong? Tell us and we will check it and update the page. A correction is the guide working as intended.

Aruba 365 is part of Isla365, the editorial home for a small family of island guides. The guides are independent of tourism boards and operators, not of each other: one publisher and editor, Alex Borshch, and one standard, with the same sourcing rules and the same checks on every site.
